Two photos shooting tricks during quarantine

Quarantine

Hey lads! I know it has been a tough time for staying at home without breathing fresh air, especially for us as a photographer or who like to explore new places. However, in the past two weeks, my neighbor and I tried to explore if we can actually shoot good photos under this limited environment. And we did! Let see what’s the outcome!

This is a photo my neighbor shot with his Fujifilm XT100 and 15-45mm lens. He has made good use of the window frame and light to trap the natural expression of me. Some tricks to handle this kind of photo will be the light exposure as the camera is facing the sky directly. If you have not tuned a suitable iso or aperture, the photo will be over exposed. However, it can be further fixed with Lightroom.

1.Make use of natural light

This photo is shot with my Fujifilm XT2 with a 56mm f1.2 lens. As my apartment is a bit messy XD, I’d rather to shoot some moody shots for certain objects. In an indoor environment, it is not surprising of the light source is not ideal. There are some tricks to handle this situation. If your desk lamp is movable, you can use it as an addition light source to compensate the lack of natural light.

2.Compensate the lack of light
