Three spots to shoot photos in London

London

During my reading week, I have travelled to London and guess what? I had a great time there! Of course I did bring my XT2 with me to capture every moment in this cultural rich place! But… my XT2 was not functioning well in such humid and rainy weather. Despite the sudden malfunctioning, it’s all good! Here I recommend a few spots for you guys to shoot photos when travelling to London.

If you are thinking that I just copy and paste stuffs from a tourist book, you are WRONG! In this trip, the most memorable photos taken was not from the indoor of the market, but the small horizontal streets outside the market! Near the market, you can find traditional buildings which creates a great vibe for English style photos. What laid a deep impression for me was the buskers and comedians performing on streets. I found them “camera sensitive” which could react quickly for posing when I was ready to press my shutter button. No matter you are shooting street photography or portraits, you would find yourself a sweet spot.

1.Covent Garden Market

As we all know, London is a busy city and honestly, I have similar feeling spending time in London and in Hong Kong…...maybe due to the similar city planning, norms and fast pace. However, everyone need a break from the hustle and bustle right? Richmond Park will be a good place to chill and escape from the torture of work.  It’s not an ordinary park which equip with slides and leisure facilities. Instead, you can find an ecosystem here! Bringing your basket of food, picnicking in the middle of a grassland and having interactions with reindeers. This will give you a new definition of “park”. Honestly I have never imagined that London would have such natural environment in the middle of the city.

2.Richmond Park

Originally, I intended to visit British Museum with no photo shooting. However, either the exterior and interior of the museum drove me to take out my camera. The classical Greek style architecture and interior design was stunning and tidy. Moreover, light penetrates from roof which given us a natural flash lamp!
